What is Rubber Wetpour?
A Rubber Wetpour system is a porous, poured in place surface developed for a range of applications to provide maximum safety and play value. It is used on a variety of different applications, such as playgrounds, schools, commercial, domestic and sporting surfaces. Using the latest in rubber technology, Rubber Wetpour consists of rubber granules or shred bound with a polyurethane resin to form a continuous, seamless surface. As the product is wet poured in situ, it can easily be installed in difficult areas such as around existing playground equipment, tree roots, pathways etc. This surface does not need a flat area for installation. It can simply follow the gradient of the land.
What Rubber Wetpour Systems are Available?
There are 2 main Rubber Wetpour systems – a wear layer and a soft fall or safety surface. A wear layer system is commonly used for walkways and pool surrounds in general application. Soft fall is used when a safe free fall from a height is required in playgrounds. Soft fall provides an impact absorbing base layer of rubber beneath a top wear layer of rubber. The thickness of the base layer of rubber is determined by the safe free fall height required. Many playground equipment manufacturers will specify this however, based on our years of expertise in this field, if this information is not supplied, we can calculate this on your behalf.
Our safety surfacing systems have been independently tested to be compliant with Australian Standard AS422:1996. As part of our service we continually update compliance with the necessary standards and will issue compliance certificates for our work.
